Why do stainless steel bolts wear out?

Stainless steel bolts are also metal products, but their chemical stability is relatively good, but when the surface is corroded and polluted.

Only the oil, dust, acid, alkali, and salt on the surface of the workpiece will be transformed into corrosive media under certain conditions.

It chemically reacts with some of the stainless steel parts, resulting in chemical corrosion and corrosion, so mechanical stainless steel fasteners also need to be anti-oxidation and corrosion treatment.

Stainless steel is mainly because there is a film on its surface to prevent it from being oxidized and corroded. Of course, if this film disappears for some reason and is damaged, it will lose its protection and continue to be corroded.

The reasons for the wear of stainless steel bolts are as follows:

First, the surface of the stainless steel bolt is prone to dust or other metal particles. If the surrounding environment is relatively narrow, then a reaction will occur, which will damage the protective film.

Second, the surface of the stainless steel bolt is covered by some broth or other sundries, which turns into organic acid. Continuous organic acid will have a certain destructive effect on the metal.

Third, there are sundries on its surface, in polluted air, or in special situations: nitric acid, condensed water, etc., will cause the failure of the stainless steel surface protection.
