Round Head Square Neck Bolt

The round head square neck bolt has a mushroom-shaped head and square neck. It is a piece made of carbon steel and is used through iron reinforcement plates on both sides of the wooden beam. It is usually used for bare wood, and its square part has enough grip to prevent rotation. The square neck design under the head allows the bolt to lock automatically when passing through the square or round holes of most wood.
Carriage bolts, also descriptively called round head square neck bolts, generally feature a broad, shallow round head and threading along part of the carriage bolt shank, and is inserted into pre-drilled holes. The square under the head keeps the carriage bolt from turning as the nut is tightened.
Round head square neck bolts usually assorted with hex flange nuts or hex nuts. The general supplies are made of low carbon steels, middle carbon steels (low grade and high strength), stainless steel 18-8, grade 304 and 316.
